NYX Butter Gloss Review & Swatches

NYX Butter Gloss Review & Swatches

Follow me on Bloglovin: http://www.bloglovin.com/blog/11555387

Hi all, I hope you are having a fantastic week! Today's blog post is about my absolute favorite lip glosses of the moment - the butter glosses by NXY. They are super affordable, and come in a range of gorgeous shades.

These glosses are creamy, opaque (but not too opaque that it looks over powering!) and reasonably long lasting. They are easy to sheer out, or layer. I have provided swatches both on my wrist and on my lips for all three colors. I buy mine off BeautyJoint (I buy a lot of "drugstore" makeup brands from here), which ships world wide and has an affordable shipping fee.

All swatches are the lip gloss alone, with no lipstick underneath (however I do suggest different lipsticks to wear under for some of the glosses - but they are all beautiful by themselves!).

Left to right: Tiramisu, Eclair, Peaches & Cream

Swatches left to right: Tiramisu, Peaches & Cream, Eclair

Do not be put off by how brown Tiramisu looks in the tube, it's absolutely gorgeous on the lips! This is my all time favorite nude lip gloss, because it's more of a peachy, brown nude, rather than a pink nude. This is gorgeous under Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick in Nude Delight.

Peaches & Cream is a beautiful, bright peachy (hence the name!), coral color. The reason I love this gloss so much, is that it is so wearable, easy to sheer out, or even wear over a lipstick (Wetnwild's Pinkerbell is fantastic - a little drying, but with a balm underneath it's fine).

Eclair is a gorgeous, light pink gloss with a slight purple undertone. I tend to wear this gloss by itself, and it's especially beautiful with champagne eye shadow.

I hope you enjoyed this blog post, and if you would like to see more of these
review-type blog posts, please let me know. Like always, if you have a blog of your own please leave it in the comments below, as well as any thoughts and future blog posts requests. Love you all!

Protect your Skin - an Important Message

Protect your Skin - an Important Message

Hi lovelies! I hope you are having a fantastic week so far. Today I'm doing a little midweek post about a video I saw today, by blogger and Youtuber Lily Pebbles. I thought it was a super important message, and myself having moles, I think it is a fantastic reminder to get them checked. If you have moles yourself (and I know a lot of you do- it's totally normal!), I really recommend you watch this video. Even if you do not have moles yourself, I'm sure you have a friend or family member with moles, so still watch. We hear so many people ranting about SPF and the dangers of lying in the sun, but I hear very little about moles and the significance it can have on people's lives.

Love you all,

Delicious Apple Crumble Recipe

Delicious Apple Crumble Recipe

Follow me on Bloglovin: http://www.bloglovin.com/blog/11555387

Hi all! I hope you are having a fantastic week so far. Today's another baking post-  my previous one was super popular (if you haven't seen that blog post, I teach you how to make delicious chocolate puddings - you can click HERE to see that), so I thought I'd share with you another one of my favorite desserts.

Apple crumble is a classic dessert, there's so many different recipes and toppings out there, but this is my favorite. This recipe is my mum's, it's honestly so delicious, and you can modify it to how you like (less spices, different fruit, etc...). It's super simple, and it's one of those meals with takes zero time to prepare, and you can just chuck it in the oven and that's that. Enjoy!

For the apple filling you will need:

5-6 apples (I use Granny Smith apples)
2 tbsp brown sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon
extra butter for greasing

For crumble you will need:

1 cup flour
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp mixed spice
1 1/2 cups sugar
170 grams butter
1 cup rolled oats

Grease your dish with a generous amount of butter. Preheat the over to
180 degrees Celsius

Peel and chop apples into bite sized pieces, and add the brown sugar and cinnamon and stir. Set aside.

In a food processor, blitz your butter, sugar, mixed spice, and cinnamon until it resembles a bread crumb texture. I had blitzed mine a little too long, so it started gathering into pieces, but in a way that's actually quite delicious!

Remove from processor and put into a bowl, add oats and stir.

Pour apples into the greased dish, and then crumble on top. You can make the top of the crumble smooth if you like, however I like mine more rustic and "homely". Place in the oven and bake for 40-55 minutes - when the top is golden brown and the apples are soft when you push a skewer through them it's ready to take out of the oven.

And Tada! I hope you enjoyed this blog post - I really encourage you to try this recipe, it is so delicious and yummy, especially with ice cream or whipped cream. Let me know if you try it out, or your going to try it out, and make sure to leave any future blog requests in the comments. If you have a blog of you own, please let me know in the comments as well, as I'm always looking for new blogs to read. Love you all!

My Favorite Jewellery

Follow me on Bloglovin: http://www.bloglovin.com/blog/11555387

Hi there! I hope you have had a fantastic week so far! As you may know, I am doing quite a bit of traveling in the next few weeks (in fact, as you're reading this I may be in Queenstown or Fiji) - hence all the traveling related blog posts. As I was packing my jewellery for my trip to Queenstown, I thought why not show you some of my favorites! Some are new purchases, and others have sentimental value to me, but as you can probably see, the trend of most of my jewellery is classic.

Ring: Forever New

I love wearing bright statement rings with plain outfits, like jeans and a tee, or a little black dress.

Earrings (left to right): Forever New, all other three are from Equip

Ring on far left: Equip. Other 4 rings: Glassons

Charm Bracelet: Pandora

I have been collecting Pandora charms for at least 5 years. I have been given a lot of charms from family members and each charm has such a meaning, which I love about it. This is one of the most important pieces of jewellery I own, plus it looks super cute with a plain silver bangle as well. I don't collect Pandora charms as much at the moment, but I would like to get back into it more in the future.

The leather and gold bracelet was given to me from my beautiful cousin Martha (click HERE to see the makeup look I did on her), and the two other pastel stud bracelets came in a pack of three from Forever New (Forever New is a fantastic place to get sophisticated trendy jewellery).

Silver Chain: Michael Hill Jeweller - my parents gave it to me on my 14th birthday, and I love wearing it by itself, or putting any of my Pandora charms on it.

Silver Bangle: A gift from my cousin

The silver bracelet with the A on it was a bridesmaid's gift from my Aunty and I absolutely love it.

Necklace: Glassons

I absolutely love this necklace with collared shirts, jumpers, and dresses and tees with a high neckline.
I hope you enjoyed this blog post. Let me know what you think in the comments, and if you have a blog of your own, please let me know in the comments and I will check it out! Thanks so much for all your love and support. Dont forget to follow me on bloglovin, to keep updated on new blog posts. Love you all!
