Hi lovelies, I hope you are having a fantastic week so far. Another installment in my Bedroom Makeover series, and this one I'm particularly exited about. My parents were kind enough to buy me a new dresser (in agreement that this was the last piece of furniture they were to ever buy me before I move out), and I absolutely love it. I choose a dresser from Freedom Furniture in a light wood, and it finally fits all my folded clothes! I've tried a minimalist approach towards what I keep on it, so there isn't as much as my previous What's On My Dresser post. I much prefer having less though - I feel it looks tidier and more mature. To see a full image of the dresser on the Freedom Furniture website click here

Lush Goodies

Hi lovelies! I hope you are having a fantastic week. Recently I made a little trip to Lush to pick up some goodies for my mum's birthday. I usually don't buy Lush products for myself, but I think they are fantastic gifts for friends or family as they are a real treat. I had a reasonable idea on what my mum is keen on, and the staff are so helpful and kind which was a relief since Lush can be quite an overwhelming store to shop in. I picked up two things, and I thought I would share them with you.

Firstly, I wanted to find something quite citrusy as my mum likes fresh, citrus scents instead of sickly sweet, "bubble gum" scents. This bubble bar is called "Karma", and is a bubble bar with orange, lemongrass and other beneficial oils. I've never purchased a bubble bar before, so I'm interested as to what my mum thinks of it.

Lastly, I bought the Honey Bee Bath Bomb. It has a subtle, honey sent which I think my mum will really enjoy, and it isn't too sickly sweet. This bath bomb also contains aloe vera and rhassoul mud so it will be very beneficial and soothing to the skin.

The shop assistant gave me one of the "Fresh Matters" book, which is actually a surprisingly interesting book. It goes through all of the Lush products, shows photos and product benefits, and includes a full list of all the ingredients used in each product.

This book is really handy if you are a Lush noob like me, as it gives explanations for all the products and helps you get a better understanding of the ingredients and benefits. If you are shopping in Lush some time soon, be sure to pick one up!

Hi all! I hope you are having a fantastic week so far. A few weeks ago it was my mum's 50th birthday - and to celebrate we went out for lunch at Baduzzi, an Italian restaurant. The food and presentation was to good to not share, so out my camera came. Enjoy the photos!

I hope you enjoyed having a look at some of the delicious food - I honestly wish every one of you could of been there to taste how delicious the meals where. Most importantly happy birthday to my lovely mum - you don't look a day over 35 and you're the best mum I could ever ask for. So thank you :) (cue sobs).

Make sure to follow me on Bloglovin to stay updated, and if you have a blog of your own let me know and I will make sure to check it out. Love you all!

Hi lovelies! I hope you are having a fantastic week. Today's blog post is a little different; I haven't done a fashion related blog post in yonks, for numerous reasons. Firstly, I am not the best model in the world and I feel like I'm really not doing the clothing justice in my photos. Secondly, I do not have an extensive wardrobe full of Gucci and Karen Walker (I wish!) like other bloggers, because I'm a high schooler and nowhere near rich or successful.

However in saying that, I am going to try to alternate between beauty, lifestyle and now fashion posts, as well as updates on how my room is going. I love fashion just as much (if not, more) as makeup, so it makes sense to do fashion posts more often.
Today, instead of doing a monthly beauty favorites, I will be sharing with you some of my favorite clothing pieces at the moment. I will also link everything in case anything takes you fancy.

Hi all! I hope you are having a fantastic week. Some of you may already know that I was fortunate to be a part of Creme Magazine. I emailed a while ago about my blog, expecting nothing out of it; however I was fortunate enough to be asked to take part in a reader beauty shoot. The article was focused on embracing a unique feature about yourself - I loved how they used readers instead of models in the shoot. I was contemplating whether or not to do a blog post on it, but I thought you might be interested in seeing some of the pics if you are unable to get your hands on the magazine.

Thank you to Creme for the fantastic opportunity; it was a privilege to be a part of such a fantastic magazine. Unfortunately this is the last issue of Creme Magazine, which is very sad for the staffers (whom I got to know - they were so lovely) and the readers including myself. I stared reading Creme in 2011, and has always been a fantastic, fun, and girly magazine that had reliable, well thought content.

On another note, I'm close to hitting 500 followers on Bloglovin - which is amazing! I would love it for you to follow me, it's a fantastic way to keep updated on new posts. It's super simple to create an account, and I would really appreciate your support by following. In saying that, if you would prefer to follow me on Instagram please do so; I post often and its also a great way to stay up to date.

My New Zealand Fashion Week Experience

My New Zealand Fashion Week Experience

Hi all, I hope you are having a fantastic day. As some of you may know, a couple of weeks ago it was New Zealand Fashion week. After submitting my application to do volunteering work, I got a job and it was fair to say is was a very worthwhile and fantastic experience. After the volunteering work, I managed to get a ticket to a Wednesday show, and I was beyond exited! If you are unsure about doing future volunteering work, I highly recommend you do it as it is fantastic real-life work experience and looks great on your CV. Here are some photos from Wednesday night:

The runway show I was invited to was the Designer Selection show. The show was divided into a number of very different "looks" - it was a fantastic way to see all the upcoming spring trends and a variety of designers' work in one show.

It was honestly a fantastic experience watching the show, and it's incredible to think that none of this would of happened if it wasn't for this website, or the volunteering work (lesson learnt - volunteer!). I honestly felt in my happy place watching the show and experiencing the atmosphere, and hope to do it again in the near future.
