The Stripey Tee // World

Hi lovelies, I hope you are having a lovely week. Another blog post today, where I share my new love for two things; World, and the classic stripey tee every girl must own. I spent a fair few hours roaming the shops in Britomart, which I do admit is my "happy place", had a look in World and was very impressed; their clothes are beautifully designed and crafted, the quality is fantastic as is the staff, and the shop is so quirky and cool just like the clothing. World is a New Zealand leading designer fashion house, created by Denise L'Estrange-Corbet and Francis Hooper.

I found this classic and timeless stripe tee; I fell in love with the fabric and boat-neck neckline, and I love how its over sized - perfect with a pair of jeans. It's actually a men's top, however I never go by whether something is "men's" or "women's", just whether I love it or not. If you have a World near you, I highly encourage you to pop inside, however you have been warned; you most likely will not leave empty handed! This outfit is now my go to weekend look, and sometimes I like to swap these cuffed "Girlfriend Jeans" for my Topshop skinnies.

Real Techniques Brushes - Review / My Thoughts

Real Techniques Brushes - Review / My Thoughts

Hi lovelies, I hope you are doing well. Today's blog post is all about Real Techniques makeup brushes - which I can already tell you, are my favorites. The brand was created by Samantha and sister Nic Chapman from youtube channel Pixi Woo. Their brushes are synthetic and cruelty free, and there is a wide range of brushes for all types of makeup application. I purchased two of their sets (you can buy individual brushes however). The first set was the core collection, and the second is their starter set. I love these brushes in general and I see a visible difference on how well my makeup is blended and the application.

Real Techniques Core Collection

Out of the 2 collections I own, this collection is my favorite. I absolutely love the buffing brush for applying foundation or bb cream, and the contour brush is the perfect shape and size for contouring with bronzer. I also love the detailer brush - it comes in handy when covering pesky red spots. The only brush I do not use on a daily basis is the foundation brush - mainly because I'm not so keen on the classic paint brush style, but if you are this one is a fantastic size and I do quite like using it on my friends. Keep in mind that it will give you a fuller coverage than the buffing brush.

I would honestly just purchase this for the Deluxe Crease Brush. Instead of using it to blend out eye shadow in the crease (which it also is fantastic for), I absolutely love it for blending concealer under the eyes. The base shadow brush is a fantastic dupe for the mac 217, and  love using the detailer brush for smudging eyeliner/shadow on my lower lash line. The liner brush is also fantastic for applying the gel liner. Not so keen on the angle brush - its a little too large to create false hairs when filling in my eyebrows, but I do really like it for applying shadow on my lower lash line.

If you are a beginner in makeup or your starting to build your brush collection, both these sets are amazing and you're almost sorted! I will leave a link to their website so if you are interested in their brushes make sure to click the link. Love you all!

Stuck Inside on a Rainy Day

Stuck Inside on a Rainy Day

Follow me on Bloglovin: http://www.bloglovin.com/blog/11555387

Hi lovelies! I hope you are all having a fantastic day! Right now I am stuck at home in the middle of a cyclone... I know, crazy right!?

While windy, stormy weather is my favorite kind of weather, sometimes things can get a little lonely and boring when you are stuck inside all day. Here I have showed you some photos of things I do when I'm stuck inside, or just any cute little photos that I think you may enjoy looking at.

Thank you again to all of your support these past months with my blog, I honestly cannot express how thankful I am to have all of you in my life! Enjoy!

Reading magazines is one of my favorite things to do while stuck inside. Any magazines, or light books are perfect for a stormy day.

I also love to give myself a little at home spa manicure, here I have on OPI Teenage Dream (also, I didn't realize that my nails were not completely dry, so that's why I have fluff sticking to them!).

I like to treat myself to a nice little pamper morning if I don't have anywhere to go too. Pure Fiji Body Butter is absolutely gorgeous, and super moisturizing.

There will be an upcoming "Whats on my face" post, about this super simple look, so stay tuned!

I love baking when I am in the house all day; there is literally nothing better than snuggling up with a warm blanket and a warm cookie! Let me know if you would like me to blog this recipe, it is truly fantastic!

On rainy days I mainly watch you tube videos, read magazines, blog, and read other peoples blogs! My favorite blogs of all time are:

One of my favorite meals of all time is my Dad's Fijian Chicken Curry. It is absolutely delicious, I could honestly eat this for the rest of my life, and it is especially perfect for cold stormy nights.
There you go! I hope you all enjoyed this random blog post, and if you are stuck inside because of stormy weather, make the most of it! I love you all, and will see you all very soon!

February Favourites

February Favourites

Follow me on Bloglovin: http://www.bloglovin.com/blog/11555387/aliceolivia

Hi all! I hope you have had a fantastic February! February was a busy month for me, but I'm loving the change of weather that March is bringing.

Like always, I am going to share my monthly favourites with you. One or two were in January Favorites, but most are new discoveries that I'm so exited to share with you all!

Neutrogena Oil-Free Makeup Remover

This makeup remover have re-purchased many times, as it removes my makeup efficiently, and leaves no oily residue (as it doesn't have any oil in it!).

A Scent by Issey Miyake

was truly as upset as you could be towards a perfume when  spritzed the last spritz, it is truly one of my favorite perfumes. am not even going to attempt to describe any scents, but the next time you pop into your pharmacy or department store, give it a sniff as it is incredible (and the packaging is super chic as well!).
Body Shop Moringa Milk
I have used this stuff daily for the past month, as it smells absolutely incredible! It is a lot lighter than a regular moisturizer, making it a nice alternative for the warmer months. I am trying to use it up before the colder weather kicks in, as I feel it is more of a summery scent, but it lasts so long! It is a really floral scent, so if you love to smell like a flower, this is for you.

Maybelline Fit Me Concealer

This has become my new favorite concealer! It is creamy, pigmented, and doesn't crease or look cakey on the skin. use the light shade, and like to apply to under my eyes, and on any blemishes, redness, or hyperpigmentation that may have.

The Falsies Volume Express by Maybelline

I  know that this was in last month's favorites, but this truly is my life saving beauty product. The volume and length you can get with this mascara is incredible, yet it doesn't give you clumpy 'spider eyes', which personally, can't stand.

Elf Eyebrow Kit

This is a new discovery for me, as  wanted to try a gel/powder for my brows instead of my usual pencil, as its meant to look a lot softer. absolutely love this duo; use the gel more often than the powder ( find the powder is slightly too light and a tad to orange), and have really been enjoying more of a natural, soft brow look.

Clinique Eye Shadow Trio

This trio, in particular the light shade (called french vanilla), has been an absolute life saver for me this month.  tend to get red, slightly veiny eye lids, so this has been perfect to sweep over the lids to even out my skin tone. also really enjoy smudging the darker color on my outer lash lie for a smokey effect.

NYX Butter Gloss (in tiramisu)

I have found my new favorite lip gloss. love all three of my butter glosses, however this shade in particular is the perfect nude. It's creamy and not sticky at all, the pigmentation is fantastic yet buildable, and the color is just beautiful.

That is all of my favorites for the month! I hope you enjoyed this post, and remember to leave any future blog requests down below in the comments. If you haven't followed me on Bloglovin yet, here is the link: http://www.bloglovin.com/blog/11555387/aliceolivia

Love you all!
